HOLISTIC CARE
Soul Midwife
EMOTIONAL, SPIRITUAL & PRACTICAL END OF LIFE CARE & SUPPORT
Soul Midwife
Soul Midwives help people reclaim how they wish to die. We give holistic comfort, care and support for the person transitioning.
We are transitioners. Just like we assist the newborn in birth, it’s as important we help a dying person find their way to begin the next part of their sacred journey.
Death is more than a physical experience. It’s a transformational soul-journey, for the dying person and for those who love and care for them.
Our care is non religious and faith neutral. We work with our deep knowledge of the stages of dying, and of the emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of each of these.
By using gentle, but extremely powerful holistic skills and therapeutic techniques to help ease anxieties, supporting anyone to prepare for and experience the death they would like to have.
We visit, listen, talk about any fears surrounding death and dying, and give practical planning advice and support. We work holistically to help create and hold a loving, calm and peaceful space, wherever the dying person may be.
Every Soul Midwife undertakes comprehensive training with award winning Felicity Warner and her Soul Midwife School. For more information you can visit www.soulmidwives.co.uk
How I Can Help You
With a foundation as a volunteer in residential care homes for the elderly and private practice my Soul Midwife skills developed. Energy Healing with Sacred Oils, Essences, Reiki with Seichem Reiki – Egyptian, Japanese Reiki, Angelic Reiki and Sound Therapy are my core, therapeutic practices. The vibrations and frequenies of the energy healing flows to wherever healing is needed withing the body and soul. Energy work helps release stuck energies and prepare for a peaceful release during the transcendent stage.
Healing isn’t always about regeneration. For the dying, healing brings energies to balance in the body as the energy centres (chakras and meridians) unravel. This helps the person understand and cope with what is happening and help alleviate pain so they are more physically comfortable. At the right time, the chakras are also de-activated and closed, which helps the unbinding of the soul from the physical body.
◉ The Soul Midwifery Sacred Oils – used for thousands of years to aid healing and transitions. Each have different qualities and energetic signatures, as well as the scent. They work to help create a beautiful, peaceful, therapeutic space for different stages of dying or for blessings.
◉ I use my own created essences for vibrational healing
◉ Bach Flower Remedies focus on emotions, not the physical problems or disease. They are safe, non-toxic and gently restore balance to your emotions giving the body time breathe.
◉ Soothing Sound Healing Therapy with crystal bowls, Himalayan bowls, Koshi Chimes, Tingsha Bells, grounding percussion instruments like rain sticks to gentle music. These sounds cradle the soul like a lullaby.
◉ Crystal Healing therapy and intuitively select crystals who either call to me or be selected by their energetic benefits, for each person I work with.
◉ Gentle, therapeutic touch. Touch is the first sense used when we are born. Gentle touch is one of the last to be tolerated by our dying friends in elemental withdrawal. Touch takes us back to our earliest, conscious or unconscious memories of security, love and support thus offers great comfort in the final, ebbing stages of life.
I offer a range of other support too:
◉ End of life companion
◉ Hold space for deep listening. Soul Midwives can truly connect and really ‘hear’ what someone is saying, – it is not always communicated with words.
◉ Breath work to help with stress, anxieties or emotions.
◉ Guided visualisations, creating memories and keepsakes to leave behind and celebrate a life.
◉ Help create a death plans and facilitate open conversations about dying and death with loved ones.
◉ Vigil and hold a sacred space during final moments
Soul Midwife Pricing
It’s hard to charge by the hour / day / week for such a unique and personal service, especially since everyone’s needs, expectations and situation are so different.
The amount of time I spend will vary from person-to-person, so a flexible approach to payment is needed. During our initial face-to-face consultation, we will work out a suitable schedule and agree upon an amount which suits everyone.
This is usually based on what you can afford plus what is reasonable for me based on my own outgoings and availability.
If you need a free service, check-in with your local hospice or community nurse to see whats available in your area.
